Darlene Gordon - Professional Educator

I am a teacher at Evanston Township High School District 202 in Evanston, IL.

I am in my second year at ETHS.  I teach Business, Public Safety and Life Skills classes in the
Applied Sciences and Technologies Department.  Much of my teaching entails helping students
gain credit for consumer education, which is required by the state of Illinois of all graduating
high school seniors.

I am a DECA sponsor and advisor with Illinois DECA  for our school.

I have an interest in mentoring female students in career planning, goal setting and developing 

strong communication and work skills that will help them secure employment after graduation.

I'd like you to know two more things about me--I enjoy what I do and I believe that I make
a difference in the lives of students I come into contact with.  Kids don't care what you know until
they know that you care.
